Lord Jesus,

Help me in my relationships with others, that my attitudes may reflect in some small way, the love, unity, harmony, self-giving and openness of your life. Keep me from the critical spirit which looks for faults; the thoughtless spirit which never thinks of the feelings of others; the cowardice which is afraid of what others will say; the desire to seek favour which makes me too intent on pleasing others, even at the expense of honour, of honesty and of truth.

This I ask for Jesus’ sake.
