Reflections on "The Velveteen Rabbit"

From 2nd Elementary School of Paleo Faliro. Greece.

THE VELVETEEN RABBIT

I feel that a toy is real if you love it. The velveteen rabbit was splendid.
I think that the skin horse was right;he said "real isn't how you are made."
But what do you think?
Was the velveteen rabbit real?
Who knows?

When I read the story I felt worried about the rabbit, because the other toys made him feel poorer than themselves. They said to him that they were "real toys" and he wasn't "real".They told him tthat being real had to do with his appearance but this is wrong."Real" has nothing to do with appearance. You feel real by yourself and it doesn't matter how you look like, for example if you are ugly or you aren't young .If you feel yourself real you are!

Well, I think the skin horse is right when it says that a toy becomes "real"when it is being loved for a long ,long time.
The toys I love the most are "real" for me.

Everybody loves the poor Velveteen Rabbit at the beginning but after afew hours it is forgotten.I feel pity and dissappointment. Most of the kids grow up being spoilt and having bad behaviour not only towards their toys but towards people too.Good manners, good behaviour and love must be the center of our lives.
