Cada año, en toda Europa, se celebran unas Jornadas dedicadas al Patrimonio a iniciativa del Consejo de Europa y de la Comisión Europea, cuyo objetivo es unir a los ciudadanos en el concepto de Europa dando a conocer el patrimonio cultural que tenemos en cada uno de los países. Cada año se elige un tema especial y el de éste es “el arte de compartir”.

Siguiendo este argumento, el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Almería ha organizado una conferencia para que expertos en la materia compartan con el público interesado sus conocimientos sobre  vestimenta histórica: la vestimenta que empleaban los moriscos y  los cristianos viejos, que compartieron estas tierras en el siglo XVI: prendas utilizadas por hombres y mujeres, por cristianos viejos y  por cristianos nuevos, detalles sobre las telas, las costuras, los adornos, las joyas, el calzado, etc., así como su técnica de elaboración.

La conferencia será impartida por dos grandes conocedores de la documentación del Archivo Histórico Provincial de Almería. Dos investigadores que llevan muchos años rastreando en protocolos notariales, fundamentalmente, además de en otras fuentes documentales y bibliográficas, para extraer todos los datos relativos a la vestimenta histórica.

* Every year, all over Europe, some conferences about the Heritage are hold by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, whose  aim is to bring the citizens the concept promoted by Europe such as disseminating the cultural heritage that we have in each of our countries. Every year a special topic is chose. The special topic of this year is “the art of sharing”.

Following this argument, the Provincial Historical Archive of Almería has organised  a conference, whose purpose is that experts in the field share with the audience, who is interested in it, their knowledges about the historical clothing: the clothing used by the Moorish and by old Christians, who shares these lands in the Sixteenth Century. These clothing were used by males and females, by old and young Christians. These clothes presented details over the fabrics, characterised by its seams, ornaments, jewels and  by its footwear, etc., and by its elaboration techniques.

The conference will be given by two experts on the documentation of the Provincial Historical Archive of Almería. Two researchers, with a solid background about notary´s Protocols and other documentary and bibliographical source have worked in order to get all the data about the historic clothing.
