Key in the words which best describe what you are looking for, avoiding any which do not give information, like articles or prepositions (the, with, a...)
Example: if you want information on healthcare in Andalusia, you can search for: hospitals Andalusia, health Andalusia or doctors Andalusia
This search engine will return the results which include all the terms you ave keyed in, without taking the order they have been entered into account.
Example:
· Andalusian Ombudsman will return the link to the page of the Andalusian Ombudsman, because it searches for both words. If we want more general information on ombudsmen, we must search for ombudsman
· we will get the same result if we key in hospitals Andalusia or Andalusia hospitals
You can use the asterisk (*) to widen your search, or when you are not sure how a word ends.
Example: if you key in Andalu* the search engine will return results including Andalusia, Andalusians, andalus, andalusíes, etc.
The question mark (?) can be used to replace a certain character in a word.
Example: if you enter the word wom?n, the results of the search will include both woman and women.
If you have obtained too many results, try repeating the search following these instructions:
· use more specific words
Example: If you are looking for information on sport, enter e.g. ski if this is what you are interested in.
· use a greater number of words
Example: If you want to find Ministry for the Inland Revenue and searched for ministry, you will get a list of all the ministries. Search for ministry inland revenue
If you have obtained too few or no results, try repeating the search bearing this advice in mind:
· use fewer words
Example: Search for museum instead of museum andalusia
· check the spelling of the words you have entered.
Example: Check that you entered ministry and not minitry
· use more general words
Example: hospital, health or doctor instead of healthcare
· use synonyms of the terms you are searching for.
Example: employment for work or labour
