1. What is the Andalusian Telecare Service? How is it used?

It is a Service rendered by the Andalusian Government and is a personal monitoring system, which offers immediate response in case of emergency situations, lack of safety, loneliness and isolation. It is based on new technologies in forms of communication, which allow users to maintain verbal contact via the telephone line:

  • 24 hours a day, all year around.
  • Without leaving home.
  • Just by pressing a button.

The system works via telephone line, so that it is a requirement to have a home telephone line.

Once the device has been installed at home, you will have a fixed terminal and a remote control (wireless), like a pendant or bracelet, to hold with you when you are at home.

By pressing any of the buttons you will always receive immediate response in any case of necessity: information, questions, request for helping in case of emergency situation, or just maintain a conversation. We will be glad to listen to you.

6. Who renders the Service?

The Service is rendered by the Regional Ministry for Equality and Social Welfare of the Andalusian Government.

This Service is made up by a team of professionals who are committed and aware with their work to do their best. They are well prepared for responding to any kind of situation of necessity and to effectively face these situations.

7. Is it a Service exclusively for cases of emergency situations?

No, it isn't. In addition to provide security and immediate response in cases of emergency situations, we can also answer your questions, give information you need, or just maintain a conversation.

Remind that you can call as any day, any time.

8. Would I know how to use the Telecare device?

It is very easy.

On one hand, you will have a fixed terminal usually located beside your telephone. This terminal has a loudspeaker and a microphone to be able to maintain conversation free hand with Telecare assistants.

On the other hand, you will always hold the pendant or remote control to easily contact Telecare assistants.

So that, by pressing any of the two red buttons you will be able to contact us from anywhere in the house, without picking up the telephone.

9. If I realize that there is any kind of anomaly or troubleshooting with my Telecare devices, what can I do?

If you realize that there is any kind of troubleshooting with your Telecare devices, check pressing the fixed device or the pendant red button to communicate with us and explain us what happens.

If the device is not working and you are not able to contact us, you can call this telephone number: 902 50 65 65 (any time).

10. If I move to a temporary address, can I take the Telecare device with me?

Yes, you can. You can take the Telecare device with you if the temporary address is located in Andalusia and if it has home telephone line.

Bear in mind that you must let us know that you are moving to a temporary address a while before, so that the technician will go to your permanent address to collect your terminal and install it in the temporary address. Also, before you are going to go back your permanent address, you must let us know so that we will be able to install the device there again.

11. Can I have a bath or a shower with the pendant?

Yes, you can. The pendant is water proof and it can be submerged into water.

You should wear in any situation, specially in those risky situations of slip and fall, such as in the bath or shower.

12. Can I talk from anywhere in the house?

Yes, you can. You are able to made and receive calls with the pendant or bracelet from anywhere in the house, but be aware that they only work when you are inside the house.

When you receive a call, regardless who calls (Telecare Service, friends, relatives...), you can pick up the telephone as you usually do, or you can just press the red button and talk free hand from anywhere in the house. Whenever you want to finish the conversation, you just need to press the red button again.
