In collaboration with the Andalusian Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AACID), Cines del Sur is offering screenings and Question & Answer sessions to the public, with the aim of heightening awareness of the objectives set in Transforming Our World: Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development Goals.
Defending human rights and promoting peace and democratic values in Latin America, the Mediterranean and Africa will be the main themes addressed in the talks and Q&A sessions held at the Bib-Rambla Mosaic Space.
These sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and from 5 to 9 p.m.
Monday, June 4. Migration, interculturality and human rights. Morning session. 10 a.m.-12 noon. Screening La sal de este mar. Coordinated by. FAMSI. Afternoon session 5-9 p.m. Screening Túnez, el arte de tatuaje amazigh. Tunisia. Myriam Bou-saha 2016. 56 min. After the screening, there will be a Q&A session with Myriam Bou-saha (director), Naima Anahnah (Euro-Arab Foundation, Doctor Leila Mezian Library), Dresda Emma Méndez de la Brena (Coordinator of Master's programme GEMMA, University of Granada).
Tuesday, June 5. Morning session. 10 a.m.-12 noon. ASECOP will present a documentary about refugees and Palestine. Afternoon session. 5-9 p.m. Audiovisual media as a tool to raise awareness. Screening of shorts from international development associations such as: CIC Batá, FAD, ASAD (Andalusian Association for Solidarity and Development).
Wednesday June 6. Morning session. 10 a.m.-12 noon. ASAD will present audiovisual material. Afternoon session. 5-9 p.m. Climate Action. Participants: Non-governmental organizations Ayuda en Acción and Paz y Desarrollo. Screening of the documentary El campo tiene sed (41min), video summary of seminar on climate change (25min), photo montage about the Philippines.
Thursday June 7. Morning session. 10 a.m.-12 noon. Fundación Amarante will present the documentary Trata de evitarla. Afternoon session. 5-9 p.m. Health and well-being: food as medicine. Participants: Farmamundi, Medicos Mundi. Screening of the documentaries Temps d'ecoute and La lucha continúa (health in Mozambique).
Friday June 8. Morning session. 10 a.m.-12 noon. Solidarity project will present audiovisual material. Geólogos del mundo will present the documentary on water, in La Brea El Salvador. Afternoon session. 17-21. Le voyage de Khadija. Morocco. Tarik Idrissi. 2015. 70 min. Following the screening, Q&A session with: Tarik Idrissi (director), Khadija (actress), Adelina Sánchez Espinosa (professor at UGR, Department of English and German Philology, University Research Institute of Women's and Gender Studies), Zoubida Boughaba, cultural mediator, Red Cross.
Saturday June 9 Morning session 10 a.m.-12 noon. A solidarity project will present audiovisual material. Entrepueblos: screening of the documentary La hija de la laguna.
