In this activity a large collective mural will be created, with participants being given simple instructions: ‘go out and take pictures of the city´s diversity’. The results will be used to generate a debate on the concept of difference and will be displayed outside the Bib-Rambla tent.

Participants: 30

Dates: June 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. and June 7 from 5 to 8 p.m.

This workshop will teach basic notions that will allow us to do a shared project: to photograph difference. Objectively, difference can be that which is not usual, not common, not normalized.

Similarly, by using a camera we can see through other eyes, changing and delimiting in a different way the reality to which we are accustumed, perceiving other nuances. We will learn how to explore what we want to photograph, that which breaks a pattern for us, giving added value to our shot.

Given by: Ana Auve and Juanma Funes.

Ana Auve completed a training course in photography and video at the Centro Albayzín. After living for some time in Berlin, where different experiences and learning opportunities allowed her to consolidate her artistic lines and discourse, she specialized in auteur photography at the photography school Too Many Flash.

Juanma Funes was born in Granada and has always been fascinated by the world of audiovisuals and arts in general. He received training to be a photography and video technician and also a sound technician at the Escuela Arte Granada (EAG) and at the Escuela de Artes Escénicas of Granada. He is constantly expanding his knowledge in the audiovisual sector with lighting techniques for photography and graphic design, among other fields. He has worked professionally in a number of different areas, such as press photography, advertising, events, outdoor events and concerts, and also in audiovisual production.

In this workshop we will have fun learning all the tricks and techniques of improvised poetry and of written and oral creation, using décimas and other traditional verse forms. To do so we will work with Alexis Díaz-Pimienta's books Teoría de la improvisación poética and Método Pimienta para la Enseñanza de la Improvisación. It will be a theoretical/practical and playful/creative workshop that enables participants to learn while they play (and play while they learn) and acquire linguistic skills and abilities that can be applied to other disciplines: literature, theatre, theatrical improvisation, flamenco, rap, trovo, songwriting, carnival lyrics and the composition of songs. There will be games and exercises useful for learning to improvise and write different types of verses, using the themes around which Cines del Sur revolves. The goal is to create, all together, a series of poems in décimas that give poetic voice to the South, to those who are different, to interculturality, and which become a lasting memory, in sound and in writing, for the participants.
