The 24th Brussels Short Film Festival has the goal of mixing different audiences and cultural places. The intention is to offer the opportunity for a large audience to discover a programme mixing quality, diversity and entertainment through more than the films selected. Films in competition (national, international or school films) and in side programmes will be screened. It will also propose an introduction to cinema designed for young audiences (age 6 to 21), including screenings with educational material and interactive activities after the screenings, but also media literacy workshops and a youth jury. Finally, professional activities will also be organised. The event wants to be a springboard for future European directors and actors and guide them in their beginning. Indeed, during the Short Film Market, their films are shown to international buyers and programmers. It’s a great opportunity for them to sell or offer their short film in a relaxed, yet highly professional environment. Finally, the 3rd edition of the Brussels Short Film co-production forum will be organised, whose main goal is to encourage new collaborations between European producers on short film projects. The promotion campaign will insist on the diversity of means in order to reach a large public (print, press, website, social media, mailing). |
