Jesús M. Sánchez

Early in his life he moved to Seville, where he currently lives, works and studies. After earning a BFA from the University of Seville, he is now pursuing master’s degree in Art Theory and Production and in Theology at the same institution.

His multidisciplinary oeuvre incorporates drawing, installation, video, photography and sound art, following a line of research into humanity, art, religion and philosophy. He has participated in group exhibitions such as El vídeo en el aula at Cicus (2013) and the El vídeo en el aula selection presented at the Scientist Videoart Festival (Ferrara, Italia), among others. Since 2008 he has produced experimental electronic music under the pseudonym “Burdeos” and released recordings on several different labels in Spain and abroad. His work has been awarded in various competitions, such as that organised by the L.E.V. Festival in Gijón in 2010, and the electronic culture journal Go Mag named him one of Spain’s top producers for two consecutive years (2008 and 2009). His music has been aired on several stations, including Scanner FM and Radio 3.
