The work of Nano Orte is predicated on the subjectification of cultural products. His photographs and installations use collective symbols to interpret the constructs of Western culture.

He is primarily interested in the themes of cultural contamination, heritagisation, remediation, history-writing processes and regimes of image reproducibility.
