Admiral's Palace

“The Casa de Porras university arts centre has found a new home at the Admiral’s Palace in the Albaicín quarter, transformed into a cultural beacon with a new exhibition and educational programme thanks to the partnership between Granada City Council and the University Extension Office of the University of Granada, managed by La Madraza, Centro de Cultura Contemporánea.

The palace was founded in the first third of the 16th century by Lady Leonor Manrique, although it is named for the occupant who came after her, the Admiral of Aragón. Thanks to recent renovations, the palace is now a university building devoted to the teaching and practice of heritage restoration.”
