1st session
- Goal setting: via introductions and needs analysis, establishing context, key issues involved in oracy and the speaking skill, a project-driven approach.
- Practical activities and resources focussing on: classroom management, setting up of collaborative pair and group work, scaffolding techniques, from game to purposeful age-appropriate activities.
- Micro-teaching 1.
Methodology
This very practical course will use a project-driven approach to equip those attending with an eclectic mixture of different techniques and tools to help build confidence in speaking for Primary-aged children.

2nd session
- Practical activities and resources focussing on: adapting the course book to maximise speaking time, integrating speaking into lesson planning, role-play and stories, scaffolding via drilling techniques, and dialogue builds.

- Practical activities and resources focussing on: facilitating ways of evaluation, continual assessment and rubrics, motivation via making the most of digital tools.

4th session.

This very practical course will use a project-driven approach to equip those attending with a range of strategies and techniques to enhance oracy amongst primary aged children. We will look at setting up, managing, and evaluating age-appropriate activities that can be adapted to the reality of our classes. Each session will include practice in the form of micro-teaching within small groups aiming towards the goal of an overall project.
Trainer
Jen Dobson is an award-winning freelance ELT author, trainer and consultant. She has over 30 years experience in teaching, and trains online, on f2f courses, and as an international conference speaker. She specialises in Primary, Early Years, and ICT. Her publications include Daisy, Robin and Me! and Archies World for Oxford University Press.
CRITERIOS DE SELECCIÓN DE LOS PARTICIPANTES:
- Profesorado especialista en Inglés de los centros públicos de Educación Infantil y Primaria.
- Profesorado que imparte contenidos en Inglés de los centros bilingües de Educación Infantil y Primaria.
CRITERIOS DE CERTIFICACIÓN:
- Asistencia, al menos, al 80% del total de horas presenciales con independencia de la causa que motive las faltas de asistencia.
- y superación de una tarea propuesta, además de la cumplimentación de la encuesta de evaluación de la actividad en Séneca hasta
siete días naturales desde de su finalización.
ACCESIBILIDAD: Si la persona admitida tiene discapacidad motora o sensorial, debe indicarlo en su solicitud para proveer los recursos necesarios.
BOLSAS DE AYUDA: Deberán entregarse a la asesoría responsable debidamente cumplimentadas durante las sesiones en las que se desarrolla la actividad.
NOTA: Se ruega a las personas que resulten admitidas y que por cualquier motivo no puedan asistir a la actividad, lo comuniquen a través de la plataforma Séneca y, si es posible, a la asesoría responsable de la misma con anterioridad al comienzo de la actividad, a fin de poder
incluir a otros solicitantes de la lista de espera. La inasistencia a la primera sesión de la actividad sin comunicación previa será causa de exclusión. El CEP de Córdoba podrá adoptar medidas frente a los docentes que sean admitidos en una actividad y, sin comunicación o
renuncia previa, no asistan a la misma.
