Consiste en estudiar solo a una parte de los individuos de manera que las conclusiones que obtengamos puedan ser aplicables a toda la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Vamos a hacer un peque\u00f1o experimento en el que veremos c\u00f3mo <strong>se obtienen distintos resultados dependiendo de la forma de obtener la muestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" una poblaci\u00f3n muy peque\u00f1a, eso hace que las oscilaciones en el valor estimado sean grandes respecto al valor real. Cuanto mayor sea la poblaci\u00f3n y considerando un tama\u00f1o de muestra aceptable, tendremos mejores estimaciones, es decir, m\u00e1s aproximadas al valor real (Ley de los grandes n\u00fameros).<\/p>\n<p>Existen otros tipos de muestreo b\u00e1sicos que puedes tratar de aplicar en tus propios experimentos, pero necesitar\u00edamos una poblaci\u00f3n mayor que la de este sencillo ejemplo para poder aplicarlos con efectividad. Para ello vamos a aplicar distintos tipos de muestreo y comparar las estimaciones obtenidas. Podemos tomar como el tama\u00f1o de la muestra a una tercera parte de la clase.<\/p>\n<p>Procedemos a aplicar estos tipos de muestreo y calculamos la media para cada conjunto de datos obtenidos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Muestreo aleatorio simple<\/strong>. Se escogen los alumnos al azar por cualquier procedimiento aleatorio objetivo. Con este m\u00e9todo, puede que seleccionemos a todos los alumnos de una determinada zona del aula: puede que los compa\u00f1eros del equipo de baloncesto se sienten juntos, o los m\u00e1s altos se sienten detr\u00e1s para no molestar la visi\u00f3n de la pizarra\u2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muestreo sistem\u00e1tico<\/strong>. Para asegurarnos de una distribuci\u00f3n homog\u00e9nea aplicamos el muestreo sistem\u00e1tico. Se selecciona un elemento y el resto a saltos de tama\u00f1o 3 (<em>Tama\u00f1o de poblaci\u00f3n<\/em>\/<em>Tama\u00f1o de muestra<\/em>) hasta completar la muestra.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muestreo estratificado<\/strong>. Se divide a la clase en grupos, que llamamos estratos, de forma que los elementos dentro de cada estrato sean parecidos entre s\u00ed. Podemos dividir la clase previamente por sexos, considerando dos estratos, ya que globalmente suelen darse diferencias de altura entre mujeres y hombres, y seleccionar para la muestra obligatoriamente elementos de los dos grupos, en la misma proporci\u00f3n que hay de cada sexo en el global de clase. As\u00ed nos aseguramos de que el valor estimado se aproxime m\u00e1s al real que si no tuvi\u00e9ramos el sexo en cuenta.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muestreo por conglomerados<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n se hace la divisi\u00f3n en grupos, que llamamos conglomerados, de manera que los elementos dentro de cada grupo sean distintos entre s\u00ed. Lo que hacemos es seleccionar uno de los conglomerados y examinar todos los elementos de ese conglomerado. Podemos hacer tres grupos que se compondr\u00e1n de chicos y chicas en la misma proporci\u00f3n que en el global de la clase. Se selecciona un solo grupo y se miden a todos los elementos del mismo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cuando terminemos con todos los tipos de muestreo podemos recoger los datos de todos y comparar los resultados de cada tipo con el valor real y as\u00ed obtener el error que hemos cometido en cada estimaci\u00f3n. \u00bfQu\u00e9 m\u00e9todo ha sido el mejor?<\/p>\n<p>Nota: Cuando se realiza una encuesta debe preservarse la informaci\u00f3n recogida, ya que as\u00ed se evita que se haga un mal uso o uno distinto del que estaba previsto y del que se dijo al informante. Siempre que se midan caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas de alumnos j\u00f3venes se debe tener cuidado con no exponerlos frente a complejos o sensibilidades. En este caso, para no destacar a nadie con valores altos o bajos de altura, se les puede pedir que anoten su altura y sexo en un papel, que entregaran en caso de ser seleccionados. El valor se registra an\u00f3nimamente junto con el resto de la muestra.
