Nacida en Marbella en el a\u00f1o 2000, Sarah Almagro ha sido una enamorada del deporte desde peque\u00f1a. Ha practicado judo, nataci\u00f3n, atletismo, futbol, esqu\u00ed n\u00f3rdico, bodyboard, surfing y crossfit<\/strong>. En 2018, tras un a\u00f1o escolar duro, contrajo una meningitis que le produjo una septicemia. Tras cinco meses de hospitales y 25 intervenciones quir\u00fargicas, Sarah sali\u00f3 del hospital en silla de ruedas, sin manos y pies y pendiente de un trasplante de ri\u00f1\u00f3n.<\/p>

Durante todo el periodo de su recuperaci\u00f3n, se dedic\u00f3 a mejorar su estado f\u00edsico a base de una dieta sana y ejercicios de crossfit adaptados y, adem\u00e1s, comenz\u00f3 a estudiar Derecho. Y tambi\u00e9n volvi\u00f3 a surfear<\/strong>. Su idea inicial era hacerlo solamente por disfrute, pero con el tiempo se dio cuenta de que quer\u00eda competir y participar en unas paralimpiadas.<\/p>

En el a\u00f1o 2021 compiti\u00f3 por primera vez en el Campeonato Internacional en la playa de Pant\u00edn y volvi\u00f3 a casa con la plata. Lo hizo en la modalidad masculina porque no hab\u00eda suficientes mujeres en el campeonato<\/strong>. La Selecci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Parasurfing la invit\u00f3 a formar parte del equipo para competir en la ISA World Championship, el mundial que tuvo lugar en Pismo Beach, California, en diciembre de 2021, donde gan\u00f3 la plata.<\/p>

En el Mundial del a\u00f1o 2022, tambi\u00e9n en Pismo Beach, consigui\u00f3 el bronce a pesar de competir enferma. Ya en 2023 se propuso ganar el Campeonato Nacional, Campeonato Europeo y Mundial. Compiti\u00f3 en 8 citas y regres\u00f3 a casa con 8 oros<\/strong> e incluso en algunos de ellos consiguiendo la mejor ola de todo el campeonato.<\/p>

Sarah es tres veces campeona de Espa\u00f1a, campeona europea y campeona del mundo<\/strong> en la categor\u00eda Prone 2<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de plata y bronce en los Mundiales de 2021 y 2022<\/strong>, respectivamente. Combina ser deportista de \u00e9lite con estudiar la carrera de Derecho, imparte charlas y conferencias, adem\u00e1s de trabajar las redes sociales.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
