Abstract
Current agricultural sector demands are oriented towards the search for non-toxic, natural and useful active substances for the protection or stimulation of crops grown under suboptimal conditions, such as those registered in warm climate zones.
Spain has the largest area of cultivated vines in the world. The residues generated are very often discarded, so its reuse to reducing the environmental impact would be an added value.
The objective of this study is focused on assessing the incidence of foliar application of extracts of wine by-products on grapes grown under warm climates over grape and wine quality obtained. To this end, between 2020 and 2022, the foliar application of extracts from stems, pomaces and lees was tested at veraison, compared to a control without extracts, in Tempranillo and Palomino fino grape varieties.
