Description: Dentro del campo de la información sanitaria, conocer de un modo detallado las causas de muerte de la población y su distribución geográfica, así como la tendencia a lo largo del tiempo, es un factor básico en la planificación y organización de los servicios sanitarios.A partir de 1992, se desarrollan diferentes operaciones por la Consejería de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía, entre las que se incluyen la Codificación de la causa de muerte dentro de la operación estadística Movimiento Natural de la Población, realizada en colaboración con el Instituto de Estadística de Andalucía.El objetivo l es el de obtener mayor información sobre las causas de muerte de Andalucía de forma más rápida y desagregada territorialmente, a la vez que se mejora la calidad de la información obtenida.
