Intervención Arqueológica Urgente en el exterior de la Capilla de Santa Catalina en Alcaudete (Jaén).

Abstract

La Intervención Arqueológica Urgente consistió en la realización de un control de movimientos de tierras en la parte exterior de la capilla con el objetivo de identificar las causas de la humedad que estaban dañando las pinturas murales y los enlucidos que cubrían la capilla. Tras la intervención se pudo constatar que en el exterior de la capilla no se encontraron ninguna evidencia arqueológica ni tampoco la procedencia de dichas patologías que la afectaban. Abstract: The Urgent Archaeological Intervention involved conducting a ground movement control survey in the outer part of the chapel, with the aim of identifying the causes of the humidity that were damaging the mural paintings and the plaster covering the chapel. After the intervention, it was determined that no archaeological evidence was found in the exterior of the chapel, and the origin of the aforementioned pathologies that were affecting the chapel was not identified.
