Abstract

La calle San Luís se encuentra en un espacio ocupado a partir del siglo XIII como una de las zonas que quedaron extramuros de la Alcazaba Qadimna, y que desde ese siglo se convirtió en asiento de población a través del Cerro de San Miguel. La calle San Luis pertenece a lo que fue el barrio de la Albaida, que lindaba por el norte y este con la muralla, por el oeste con el Albaicín y por el sur con la Cuesta del Chapiz El edificio se encuentra en el Conjunto Histórico de Granada, en el barrio del Albaicín, incluida en la Zona de Vigilancia Arqueológica 2 del Plan Especial de Protección y Reforma del Albaicín, motivo que ha generado la intervención arqueológica a pesar de la poca afección de la obra.
