Actividad arqueológica preventiva mediante sondeo arqueológico en c/ Santo Domingo, 18 de Úbeda

Abstract

La Actividad Arqueológica Preventiva llevada a cabo en la calle Santo Domingo, nº 18 de Úbeda (Jaén), fue motivada por la construcción de una piscina en el patio del solar. Se excavó un único sondeo que resultó negativo a nivel arqueológico. Aparecieron dos estructuras murarias, una de ellas estaba facturada en ladrillo perteneciente a un corral ubicado en ese lugar, y la otra, facturada en piedra que fue muro lindero de la parcela. Los sedimentos presentan material mueble cerámico que abarca desde el siglo XVI y hasta el XIX, pero que aparece muy mezclado con escombros, plásticos y material de construcción contemporáneo. The Preventive Archaeological Activity carried out in Calle Santo Domingo, nº 18 of Úbeda (Jaén), was motivated by the construction of a pool in the courtyard of the plot. A single survey was excavated which proved negative at the archaeological level. Two wall structures appeared, one of them was billed in brick belonging to a coop located in that place, and the other, billed in stone that was the boundary wall of the plot. The sediments present ceramic furniture material that spans from the sixteenth century to the nineteenth, but that appears very mixed with rubble, plastics and contemporary construction material.
