Intervención Arqueológica Preventiva. Control arqueológico de movimientos de tierra en la calle San Andrés de Baeza (Jaén).

Abstract

El presente artículo detalla los resultados obtenidos durante la intervención arqueológica preventiva de control arqueológico de movimientos de tierra ocasionados por la actuación llevada a cabo en el tramo de la calle San Andrés de Baeza, comprendido entre la apertura de la plaza José León y el cruce de las calles Cipriano Tornero y Doctor Ojeda. Las obras realizadas responden a la necesidad de renovación de las instalaciones e infraestructuras que ocupan este tramo de la calle y que son la red de saneamiento de aguas, la red de abastecimiento, electricidad y alumbrado público y telecomunicaciones. Se ha documentado una única fase de ocupación identificada con la última reforma integral realizada en la calle y que afecto a toda extensión del tramo de la calle sobre el que se actúa. La reforma realizada se realizó en 1976 y afecto a todos los niveles anteriores, no dejando restos anteriores. Todos los rellenos documentados se asocian a esta reforma. Se ha documentado una base geológica de arenisca dura, de tonos amarillentos que se localiza con una cota muy superficial, incluso en algunos tramos, por encima de la cota de calle, apareciendo formando parte del inicio de los muros de varias fachadas. Todas las unidades documentadas aparecen asociadas a las instalaciones que dan servicio a la calle y que ocupan toda la superficie afectada por las obras. This article details the results obtained during the preventive archaeological intervention of archaeological control of earthworks caused by the work carried out in the section of San Andrés de Baeza street, between the opening of José León square and the intersection of Cipriano Tornero and Doctor Ojeda streets. The works carried out respond to the need to renovate the installations and infrastructures that occupy this section of the street, which are the water drainage network, the water supply network, electricity and street lighting and telecommunications. A single phase of occupation has been documented, identified with the last comprehensive renovation carried out on the street and which affected the entire length of the section of the street on which the work is being done. The renovation was carried out in 1976 and affected all the previous levels, leaving no previous remains. All the documented fillings are associated with this reform. A geological base of hard sandstone has been documented, with yellowish tones that is located with a very superficial level, even in some sections, above the street level, appearing forming part of the beginning of the walls of several facades. All the documented units are associated with the facilities that serve the street and occupy the entire area affected by the works.
