Control arqueológico de movimientos detierra mediante declaración responsable en el arroyo de la Fuente del Caño (finca "El Molinillo") de Martos, Jaén, para la construcción de dos tramos de escolleras

Abstract

En el presente artículo se exponen los resultados arqueológicos del <<Control Arqueológico de Movimientos de Tierras, mediante Declaración Responsable, en el Arroyo de la Fuente del Caño (Finca El Molinillo) de Martos (Jaén), para la construcción de dos tramos de escolleras>>. El área de ejecución de estos dos tramos de muros de escolleras se ubica en el área noroccidental de expansión urbanística del casco urbano de Martos, en la zona nororiental de los límites físicos de la delimitación poligonal de la Zona Arqueológica del Polideportivo de Martos y a unos 80-90 metros de distancia de los límites occidentales del polígono de delimitación del denominado Sitio Arqueológico de Martos. Mediante la ejecución de esta intervención arqueológica, hemos podido delimitar y documentar los restos parciales conservados de una estructura de cimentación muraria de época romana, construida en ¿opus caementicum, dentro de una zanja excavada artificialmente, en su día, en la matriz geológica del terreno, posiblemente perteneciente a algún tipo de estructura hidráulica relacionada con la captación y distribución del agua del arroyo hacia los asentamientos y/o explotaciones rurales existentes en los alrededores de la zona en esa época histórica concreta. This article presents the completely negative archaeological results, at the material, structural, stratigraphic and depositional contexts in situ level, of the preventive Archaeological Activity, through Archaeological Surveys and Archaeological Control of Earth Movements, on a plot located on Calle Miguel Hernández s/n de Martos (Jaén), for the construction of a single-family home with a swimming pool. The site is located within the southwestern area of the limits of the delimitation polygon of the archaeological site called Oeste del Campo de Fútbol and, although it is located outside and to the North of the defined limits of the site called Sitio Arqueológico de Martos, it has a Grade 4 of caution within the zoning of the underlying archaeological heritage according to the urban planning regulations of the P.G.O.U. current Martos (Jaén). With a supposedly high archaeological potential, in the research carried out on the site, we have not been able to define any type of archaeological evidence or vestiges from past historical periods. This article presents the archaeological results of the <<Archaeological Control of Earth Movements, by means of a Responsible Declaration, in the "Arroyo de la Fuente del Caño" (Finca "El Molinillo") in Martos (Jaén), for the construction of two sections of riprap>>. The area of execution of these two sections of riprap walls is located in the northwestern area of urban expansion of the urban area of Martos, in the northeastern area of the physical limits of the polygonal delimitation of the "Zona Arqueológica del Polideportivo de Martos" and approximately 80-90 meters from the western limits of the delimitation polygon of the so-called "Archaeological Site of Martos". By carrying out this archaeological intervention, we have been able to delimit and document the preserved partial remains of a Roman-era wall foundation structure, built in "opus caementicum", within a trench artificially excavated, at the time, in the geological matrix of the terrain, possibly belonging to some type of hydraulic structure related to the capture and distribution of water from the stream to the settlements and/or rural farms existing in the surrounding area at that specific historical period.
