Abstract

The documented archaeological sequence from the results of the 2007-2008 campaigns have led to a settlement evolution based on five fundamental phases:The first occupation of this area would have developed on natural red clay, being related to a burial ground use. Its main components are nearly two dozen primary cremation pit advanced archaic, probably grouped by family criteria (Phase I). Among the V century B.C. until the first century This long phase is characterized by the construction of a building equipped with rectangular pools trend, generating various landfills in their environment and high consumption areas, and a small oven.From Augustan period (Phase III) seems the salting is amortized and the whole area has a dual purpose: as a possible quarry, and especially as altoimperial necropolis, with the presence of secondary burials and cremations, wells, pools staggered, etc. ... After a period of abandonment of the area from Late Antiquity and the formation of large dune deposits, settles in early modern period a causeway area linked to the road which led to the continent. The modern-contemporary horizon defined thereafter is the latest phase of the site (Phase IV).
