The Cerro del Toro recreational area, which occupies a surface area of some 7,463 m², is located within the Monte Público de la Nacla (GR-11047-JA), an area with a large number of visitors due to its proximity to the city of Motril.
Located within the reforested pine forest of the Monte Público de la Nacla, it also has riverside vegetation in the stream that crosses it. Along the two access paths, there are several viewpoints with benches that offer beautiful panoramic views of the surroundings, the city of Motril and its coastline, as well as the mines of Cerro del Toro, which gives its name to this recreational area.
It should be noted that this facility forms part of the hiking and cycling routes that run through the Monte Público de la Nacla, which are very popular with the inhabitants of Motril and the surrounding area.
It has two delimited and signposted car parks, identification and recommendation signs, six tables with their two benches respectively, a delimited and signposted area for the physically handicapped with easy road access and which has two adapted tables and a masonry bench respectively, and several viewpoints with 10 benches distributed for the observation of the landscape.
This Recreational Area lacks water supply, public toilets and rubbish collection services.
