DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

An itinerary is proposed through Mount Conejeras, which is part of the Sierras Blancas and its substrate of limestone and dolomites. A circular path that, despite its shortness, brings us closer to one of the best-preserved forests in the whole Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park: the La Nava oak grove. A forest of exceptional interest, beauty and charm.

During the tour, accompanying the oaks, we can also see Valencian oaks and the endangered Spanish fir. To protect this botanical jewel and, in general, this entire protected area, there are five large ponds, with a capacity of one million liters of water, which supply the special firefighting vehicles of the Plan Infoca.

MAP
HOW TO GET

Once in Ronda we will take the A-397 road towards San Pedro de Alcántara and, approximately 12 km away, the turn-off on the left takes us into the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park. Continue along the tarmacked lane that later turns into a dirt track. Soon we will find a turn-off to the right with a sign for the Conejeras hiking trail and its starting point.
