This hiking trail is closed from June 1 to October 15, due to the high risk of wildfire.

The path will take us to the very top of the province of Cadiz, a formidable watchtower where we can see out over much of Andalusia. After the somewhat hard ascent, we will be rewarded by the views from the summit where we will take a breath.

This peak constitutes an exceptional viewpoint of Western Andalusia. From here, we will be able to contemplate, to the north, La Garganta Verde and part of the province of Seville; to the east, part of Malaga and Granada; to the south, much of Cádiz, with the Neighbouring Los Alcornocales Natural Park; and to the west, the Bay of Cádiz. On clear days, our view even reaches the Sierra Nevada, the Torrecilla (the highest point in Malaga), the Straits of Gibraltar, North Africa, and the city of Seville.

These are the views enjoyed by birds of prey that nest in this park such as the golden eagle or the griffon vulture, whose nearby colony in the Garganta Verde is one of the largest on the continent. Another frequent visitor, the alpine accentor, will approach us in search of food.

During the ascent, we will visit geological formations characteristic of limestone terrain, and we will be able to see birds of prey and colourful little birds, while mountain goats skip elusively from stone to stone.
