Located in the heart of the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park, the La Alfaguara recreational area is one of the areas with the highest number of visitors to this natural park. It is equipped with tables, barbecues and benches, as well as a children's playground and kiosk bar.
Nearby is the La Alfaguara Botanical trail signposted, an old forest nursery that nowadays has a small route where you can see different species of trees.

From Alfacar take the G-3103 road to the recreational area.
Make a responsible use of water. It is a rare commodity.
Do not disturb or feed the animals. You would negatively alter their behavior.
Check the weather forecast before starting your activity.
Find out in advance about the possible existence of hunting activity.
Bring water, sun protection, suitable clothing and footwear.
Bring a mobile phone with enough battery in case of emergency (112), but remember that there is not always coverage.
