DESCRIPTION

A lane that runs along the forest track that crosses part of the common land mountains of the Los Barrios municipality: La Teja, Mogea Luenga and Cucarrete. It has excellent views of the Charco Redondo reservoir and the surrounding mountains, as well as the Rock of Gibraltar and the majestic Mount Yebel Musa which stands 851 metres high and is located in Morocco, it is considered t be one of the two columns of Hercules.

From the Mogea Luenga viewpoint you can see one of the environmental impact corrective measures used in the construction of the A-381 Jerez-Los Barrios motorway: its false tunnels. The beginning of this itinerary coincides with the La Teja hiking trail

These mountains are used for hunting purposes at certain times of the year, so during the big game season this itinerary may be temporarily closed to the public. Before doing the tour, it is recommended that you inquire in advance at the Los Alcornocales Natural Park office , tel: 856587508.
