He is grandson of José Carmona, son of the Flamenco guitarist Juan Habichuela (1933-2016) and nephew of the also guitarist, Pepe Habichuela (1944).
Antonio Carmona is a flamenco singer, one of the most notorious representatives of the " New Flamenco " style which has developed mainly within the music band Ketama who he became part of in 1990.
In the following years, Ketama becomes one of the main Spanish pop bands. In 1996 he writes Ay, que deseo!, which was the selected song representing Spain at the Eurovision contest, performed by Antonio Carbonell in Oslo.
After more than 20 years of joint work and more than a million records sold Ketama decides to have a break, leaving a legacy of eleven albums, hundreds of awards and collaborations with the most renowned national and international musicians.
After the band split up, Antonio Carmona started his solo career with the album “Vengo Venenoso”, produced in 2006 by Universal Music, featuring La Mala Rodriguez, Juanes and Alejandro Sanz.
Antonio Carmona returns with a new album in 2011, “De Noche”, with twelve tracks and including collaborations from artists such as Nelly Furtado and Concha Buika.
Recently he presented his new album “Obras Son Amores”.
