Se trata de una torre de alquería del s.XIV que posee gran integridad y valor histórico en el territorio del municipio. Este trabajo muestra la intervención realizada en el marco de Programa provincial de conservación y uso del patrimonio arqueológico y paleontológico rural (PPCPA) 2020 con el que se llevó a cabo la intervención a finales del año 2021. La intervención arqueológica mediante sondeos reveló interesante información acerca del pasado del yacimiento, así como nuevos datos acerca del poblamiento en el municipio. The Alcázar Tower in Jérez del Marquesado (Granada) is one of the best known heritage elements of the Marquesado del Zenete. It is a 14th century farmhouse tower that has great integrity and historical value in the territory of the municipality. This work shows the intervention carried out within the framework of the Provincial Programme for the Conservation and Use of Rural Archaeological and Palaeontological Heritage (PPCPA) 2020, with which the intervention was carried out at the end of the year 2021. The archaeological intervention by means of probing revealed interesting information about the past of the site as well as new data about the settlement of the municipality. |

Se trata de un punto central en el municipio, articulando en torno a él todo el núcleo urbano y siendo uno de los puntos más importantes en el control del Marquesado del Zenete más oriental. El trabajo aquí presentado muestra la intervención realizada en el marco de Programa Provincial de Conservación y uso del Patrimonio Arqueológico y paleontológico rural (PPCPA) 2021-2022 con el que se llevó a cabo la intervención a finales del año 2022.
