El Proyecto General de Investigación Oppidum de Puente Tablas (Jaén). Resultados preliminares de la fase 1

Abstract

Este artículo recoge los resultados obtenidos en la Fase 1 del PGI Oppidum de Puente Tablas (Jaén), centrado en el análisis de este enclave con el objetivo de profundizar en las dinámicas internas de esta ciudad ibera y su territorio para los siglos V-IV a.n.e. Esta Fase 1 se ha ocupado de dos ejes principales de investigación: -el primero, el urbanismo del oppidum: análisis espacial del caserío, orientado a definir de manera completa la zona central de la meseta. -el segundo, contextos y ritualidad en el santuario de la Puerta del Sol, con el objetivo de terminar de definir la tercera terraza y el cierre de este espacio de culto hacia el norte.

This article collects the results obtained in Phase 1 of the PGI Oppidum of Puente Tablas (Jaén), with the aim of delving into the internal dynamics of this Iberian city and its territory for the 5th-4th centuries B.C.E. This Phase 1 has focused on the development of two main fields of research: -The first, the urban planning of the oppidum: spatial analysis. -the second, contexts and rituals in the Puerta del Sol sanctuary, with the aim of defining the third terrace and closing off this cult space to the north.
