DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

This linear route is part of the Dos Bahías Green Corridor, which, starting from Puerto Real in the Bay of Cádiz, crosses the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, reaching the Bay of Algeciras.

The route that concerns us starts from the Barbate river, in the vicinity of Benalup-Casas Viejas and passing through the Wakanalake Camps nature classroom, crosses the Celemín reservoir. Once we reach the Las Lagunetas bridge, we can make a stop at the El Celemín recreational area, which is located about 500 meters along a pedestrian path on the other side of the river of the same name. From here the path runs very close to the river and later next to the Alisosos stream, in the municipality of Medina Sidonia. Continue along the Cañada Real de San Roque to Medina, which we will not abandon until the end of the route. But first, once we pass the Corchuelo pass (the highest point of our route) the path runs next to the Valdeinfierno stream, where we can access a beautiful path through the canute. If we continue, we pass through the Montera del Torero recreational area and very close to the beginning of the Valle de Ojén cycle path, where we cross the Palmones river for the first time, next to the Puente de Hierro, to later cross it again, before reaching the cortijo del Jaramillo, already in the municipality of Los Barrios.

This path ends here, although the two bays green corridor continues until it reaches very close to the bay of Algeciras.

- You do not need permission to access.

- On the route there are sections with steep slopes

- Please close the gates when passing private farms with livestock use.
