DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

From a point near Los Marines, from which you have to make a short climb, the path is for most of its length a continuous descent to the Valle del Silo ravine and, finally, to Linares de la Sierra, through forested areas and formidable landscapes, in which we can detect the presence of a wide range of plants and animals.

Los Marines owes its name to the Galician settlers surnamed Marín who colonised this area in the 16th century. Chestnut and cork trees blessed with small orchards with olive trees mark a path for us, then guided by stone walls populated with ferns. The shady area gives way to a sunny thicket and, a little further on, to a rock outcrop, a small waterfall that gives its name to the path and the panoramic view of the eastern mountains of Linares de la Sierra. It is a privileged destination in the Sierra de Aracena, a beautiful town with attractive features for the visitor.

This path links up with the one in Aracena-Linares de la Sierra , with which you can continue to discover the mountains.
