The term Equivalent load refers to the theoretical number of persons who would generate a
wastewater volume equal to adding up the amount produced by the population, the industry,
agricultural and livestock activities. The data included in this chart indicates the number of
waste water treatment plants (WWTP) either under construction or operational in each one of
the urban agglomerations in Andalusia, updated according to the Andalusian Water
Purification Strategy 2010-2015.
