In the El Castillejo botanical garden you can see the different plant formations that develop in the surroundings of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. During your visit you can discover the species of the open oak woodlands (dehesas), the holm oak forest and the cork oak forest. As you advance along the route, trying to simulate the succession of species that grow on the slopes of the sierra when ascending in altitude, you'll find typical species of colder and more humid areas such as the Valencian oak, further up the vegetation culminates in the area dedicated to the Spanish fir. Over the whole of the itinerary, some of the most interesting plants of European flora can be found, such as the Grazalema poppy and the Spanish fir.
