Systemic innovations towards a zero food waste supply chain - ZEROW -

The ZeroW Project has set the ambitious target of playing a key role in the transition of current food systems towards halving Food Loss & Waste (FLW) by 2030 and reaching near-zero FLW by 2050, in line with the Farm to Fork (F2F) Strategy of the European Commission and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. ZeroW provides significant impacts through the demonstration of innovations in nine real-life food chains by employing a systemic innovation approach.

 

-ZEROW considera las limitaciones y deficiencias actuales del sistema como requisitos que deben integrarse en un enfoque holístico para comprender y actuar sobre la reducción de pérdida y desperdicio de alimentos (PDA). En concreto, ZEROW tiene como objetivo demostrar la aplicabilidad de las innovaciones sistémicas para eliminar los efectos de bloqueo de PDA del sistema alimentario actual y dirigir la transición hacia un sistema de PDA casi nulo.
