Priority sectors

Priority areas are defined by the Innovation and Modernisation Plan for Andalusia, the necessary framework so that the project for transforming the social and economic culture of Andalusia becomes reality.

In this document the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment sets out its scheme for Innovation and Modernisation in Andalusia which, with specific policies and strategies, orientates and plans the actions which will be necessary to carry out this transformation.

The Selection and Evaluation Committee evaluates in depth several hundred candidates and favors programs related to priority sectors and strategic activities that stimulate the regional economic developments, with growth potential for Andalusia and the internationalisation of its production.

Experts from the private industry and entrepreneurs also take part in the selection committees in order to ensure a smooth connection between the research topics and the industry. These experts come from transnational companies currently employing former TALENTIA awardees, and leading Andalusian companies operating at a global level.

The Selection and Evaluation Committee reserves up to 20% of grants for programs in Management, Applied Economics and International Administration, 25% for professional programs and up to 40% of grants for programs in Science and Technology.
