Sierras Subbéticas is a mountainous terrain in the heart of Andalusia with white villages and olive trees. The sediments deposited in the old Tethys Ocean outcrop today as grey carbonate cliffs modelled by rainwater. Sierras Subbéticas is the Ammonites kingdom. Sierras Subbéticas Unesco Global Geopark is located to the south of the Province of Córdoba, in the middle part of the Betic Cordillera. It extents 32.560 ha and includes 8 villages: Carcabuey, Doña Mencía, Iznájar, Luque, Priego de Córdoba, Rute and Zuheros.
