The Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia presents the Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research to the associative movement at the I Provincial Congress of Multiple Sclerosis

On October 30 and 31, the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia participated in the I Provincial Congress of Multiple Sclerosis “From People to People”, organized by the Granada Association of Multiple Sclerosis.

The congress, which took place in the main hall of the Faculty of Sciences, has been a forum for the exchange of information and training between professionals, patients and caregivers from all over Andalusia. The program has been recognized as having Scientific Health Interest and has had the presence of professionals from Neurology, primary care, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, neuropsychologists and social workers, all of them specialized in the socio-health approach of people affected with multiple sclerosis.

Furthermore, the organizing committee of the congress did not want to forget the importance of donating biological samples in the research of Multiple Sclerosis and has counted on the SSPA Biobank to present the Andalusian Registry to the associative movement, professionals and health personnel. of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research, an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Families, which allows citizens to participate directly and actively in research, turning donors into main actors in it.

For this, the SSPA Biobank has given a presentation and has had a permanent information point during the congress where all interested people have been able to expand their information and register in the Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research.
