The Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia participated together with the Transfusion, Tissues and Cells Center of Granada in the First Health Promotion Conference: Donating is giving Life organized by the Atlántida CIPEP training center

During the day, the Biobank professionals gave four presentations where they told the center's students that Biobanks constitute a valuable and indispensable tool in Biomedical Research since they offer researchers the possibility of having biological samples from patients, as well as their data. associated, under appropriate conditions, in different formats and at different stages of the patient's illness.

Also, they were presented with the Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research as a tool for citizen participation in biomedical research and they were offered the possibility of registering in the Registry. At the end of the day, the total number of new registered donors rose to 90, reaching a figure close to 1,300 donors.
