Flomics Biotech, going for liquid biopsy

According to La Vanguardia, the Catalan firm raises a round of one million euros for its genetic screening project for the early detection of cancer.

Flomics was founded in 2018, with headquarters in the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica of Barcelona, it has twelve employees and has also obtained 0.5 million euros in aid and scholarships for R&D. These funds, explained Curado, will allow the preclinical validation of the test to be carried out, for which it collaborates with the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia and centers in Germany and Switzerland "to have larger cohorts of patients."
