LiquiDx Project Consortium Meeting
On May 18, the first face-to-face meeting of the LiquiDx project Consortium took place in the city of Granada. All partners were present to monitor the project and exchange opinions.
Mainly, each entity has been presenting the progress of the case, according to the stipulated tasks, and the steps to follow for the future were shared. It should be noted that this is the first face-to-face meeting of the Consortium where the team's great motivation for the project and the good understanding between all participants have prevailed and been revealed.
Let us remember that the project, defined by the consortium created from Flomics Biotech, the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia and Leitat, aims to develop and implement a diagnostic solution based on the detection of RNA in blood to detect, early, up to five types of cancer (lung, colon, breast, prostate and pancreas).
The objective of this three-year project is to expand and validate this technology for different types of cancer and prepare its entry into the market. With this intention, Flomics is going to collaborate with two key centers: (i) Conditioning Tarrasense (Leitat), who will assist in the development, optimization and access to sequencing processes and (ii) the Andalusian Public Foundation Progreso y Salud MP through of the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia, who will contribute to the definition of clinical parameters, the selection and provision of blood samples from patients and controls.
