The Biobank of Andalusia improves communication with its researchers through a new portal
The objective is that personnel dedicated to health research can access services more quickly and efficiently.
The Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia has launched a new access portal aimed at its research staff in order to improve and streamline the provision of all those who request its services. Thanks to this new tool, research staff will be able to know the status of their sample requests, or other services offered by the Biobank.
In this sense, professionals dedicated to health research will be able to consult any information related to the project documentation, the budget or the professionals involved, or the addresses and people authorized by the researcher associated with the project. Likewise, they will be able to access the requested services document, the status of the procedures with the Biobank's External Scientific and Ethical Committee when applicable, the agreements made between both parties and the deliveries of samples or results made by the Biobank to the researcher.
Access to the portal will be done through the digital certificate of the research staff who has made the request and the results will be shown interactively with the information registered in the Biobank information system, nSIBAI, a tool that allows managing a large volume of data. with maximum efficiency to make them available to the research projects that request them.
The Biobank of Andalusia continues working to improve and facilitate the entire process of requesting its services, so that, in the coming months, it is planned that they will be incorporated electronically through the new portal.
About nSIBAI.
The Biobank of the SSPA (Public Health System of Andalusia) has, among all its nodes, thousands of biological samples stored for research. Its management and associated information is a key and differentiating activity for current research.
nSIBAI is a project that was born in 2017 as a result of collaboration between professionals from the SSPA Biobank, the Progreso y Salud Foundation and Biosoft Innovation SL, and is developed on a technological platform that allows the implementation of secure access portals, such as the case of this new portal.
