The III PTS Granada Research Congress will bring together clinicians, researchers and companies

The III PTS Granada Research Congress, to be held at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada, from 3 to 5 February, will bring together 400 experts and professionals in biomedicine and biotechnology, in this event designed to connect and strengthen the innovative and economic potential of theandalusian life sciences and health system. And that it will fulfill the mission of promoting the exchange of knowledge and the transfer of knowledge between the academic field and the bio-health industry, contributing to economic progress and improving the quality of life.

The event, organized by the PTS Granada Foundation and the more than thirty public-private institutionsas they make up Granada Salud, will bring together researchers, clinical staff, students, representatives of research centers and companies in the sector, in order to present the latest lines of research in biomedicine and biotechnology, as well as explore possible synergies and collaborations between the actors responsible for transformation and progress in the scientific fieldfico and Sanitary.

Over the course of three days, attendees will be able to enjoy an extensive program consisting of high-level conferences, more than 100 scientific communications, 190 posters, parallel sessions, B2B meetings and networking activities.

Conferences, thematic lines and parallel sessions

The congress is presented as a platformmultidisciplinary approach that will address a diverse range of scientific communications in the following thematic lines: Neurosciences; Oncology; Inflammatory Diseases; Infectious Diseases; Nutrition and Food Technology; Physical Activity and Sport for Health; Rare Diseases; Epidemiology and Public Health. One Health; Cardiovascular Diseases. Dermatology. Afterplants. Advances in Clinical Research; Personalized Medicine and Advanced Therapies; ICT for Health; Transfer and Provision of Services and Support for Research in the Field of Health.

The plenary lectures will be given by prestigious experts such as José Antonio Lorente Acosta, professor in the Department of Legal Medicine, Toxicology and AnthropologyPhysics of the University of Granada, which will give the talk "Reflections of medical research from an ethical perspective" at the opening of the congress. And the director of the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII) Marina Pollán Santamaría, will be responsible for the closure that will focus on "Precision Medicine and Public Health".

Parallel sessions of the congresswill address several key issues in the field of health and innovation. The workshop on "Financing for Business Development, Business Creation and R&D" will provide a comprehensive overview of incentives and grants available to promote business and research projects. The session entitled 'The Role of Patient Associations in Health Research' will discusswill be around collaboration between patient associations and researchers. Finally, the conference "Innovative Biofabrication Technologies" will focus on the future of regenerative medicine through 3D bioprinting and bioreactors.

Granada, Andalusian benchmark in innovation and transfer in the health sector

Granada, referent citye in health sciences and technology, it is home to more than 30 key players in the sector, most of them located in the PTS, and has enormous potential in research, business development, healthcare and training. In order to make this biosanitary ecosystem visible and to position it as an engine of economic and social development, the PTS Granada Foundation organizes this congressto Granada Salud, with solid institutional support and sponsorship from the most prominent companies in the field of health and health technology.

Granada Salud is a strategic collaboration network that offers essential resources for the development of the health sector, at the service of companies, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens. This initiative is part of the objectiveskey objectives of the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation to promote and coordinate scientific and technical research, knowledge transfer, support for technological innovation and business investment in technological matters, as well as the development of entrepreneurial culture and technological entrepreneurship in the region.
