The Andalusian Public Health System Biobank through the Donor Registry launches a campaign to ask citizens who have overcome COVID-19 for their contribution in the research of this disease.

By donating samples and associated clinical data, patients who have overcome COVID-19 will be able to collaborate with research projects currently underway and with new projects to be developed in the future.

In recent months, with the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus, there have been numerous biomedical research projects that seek to advance knowledge of all aspectsrelated to this virus, as well as the disease it causes (COVID-19).

Currently, the SSPA Biobank is supporting about thirty biomedical research projects related to research on SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. The projects you are contributing biological samples and/or associated data from people who have pthe disease range from strategic studies at the national level, which look for genetic biomarkers of risk that may predispose to a more serious infection and projects that seek immunogenic tools that contribute to the design of effective vaccines to projects that try to develop faster and more reliable diagnostic tests.

To get togiven the samples necessary for the development of the different projects, the SSPA Biobank, through the Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research, launches this campaign to find donors for the general public. In this campaign, the SSPA Biobank appeals to anyone who has presented symptoms related to COVID-19, tested positive inpCR and/or serological tests or who believe they have been asymptomatic, to collaborate with their donation in the fight against this disease.

All those who want to collaborate can receive more information at any of the Biobank's locations, by calling 958 894669 or register directly with the Registry through the Registry's website, www.soydonanteparainvestigacion.es, with digital certificate, or by downloading and completing the form that appears insaid website and delivering it to any of the Biobank nodes or sending it to the Registry email (registro.donantes.csalud@juntadeandalucia.es).
