The Biobank of Malaga, a research support unit that houses an organized collection of human biological samples and associated data to boost scientific study, is currently at the national forefront in the generation of so-called organoids, a miniature representation of a human organ (or a tumor, for example), a 3D model replicated in a laboratory from tissue cultures from patients, which allows us to test our drugs and treatments or observe how a certain disease evolves in that organ. Pathological tissues such as tumors can also be generated.
