V Medinbio Edition

On November 30 and December 1, 2022, the 5th edition of MedInBio will be held at the headquarters of the PTS Foundation, a knowledge transfer event in health and biomedicine, where experts from the business, research and clinical fields will meet. to create new business opportunities and projects.
Attendees to MedInBio will be able to participate by presenting their research activity in the Pitch Blocks, as well as in the B2B Meetings where they will be able to hold meetings with companies and other professionals in the sector.

Andalusian Research Ethics Committee Conference

Date : November 24 and 25, 2022
Location : Andalusian School of Public Health (Granada)
On November 24 and 25, the Andalusian Biomedical Research Ethics Coordinating Committee (CCEIBA) will organize the ANDALUSIAN RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE CONFERENCE. These sessions aim to learn about the challenges and advances in the ethics of biomedical research with biological samples and artificial intelligence. Participation in the conference can be in person at the Headquarters of the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP) or virtually through the EASP platform.

XV Technical Conference on Inspection of Andalusian Health Services

Place : Assembly Hall of the ETS of Engineering, Roads, Canals and Ports of the University of Granada
The week of November 16, the XV Technical Conference on Health Services Inspection will take place in the assembly hall of the ETS of Engineering, Roads, Canals and Ports of the University of Granada. In these sessions, different topics will be discussed within the scope of action of the Health Services Inspection (link to the program) and were born with the objective of becoming a collaborative work framework, a meeting point between professionals from different autonomous communities with the aim to share experiences, harmonize criteria, increase the training of participants and facilitate their professional and personal growth.
Among the extensive program that the conference will present, highlight the participation of the Scientific Director of the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia in the table "Biohealth research: aspects of interest for the Health Services Inspection" where he will talk about the ethical and legal aspects of the Biobank of the SSPA.

Course on management and operation of Biobanks for Biomedical Research purposes

The Management and Operation of Biobanks for Biomedical Research purposes course aims to make Biobanks for biomedical research purposes known to the clinical and research community, with the main objective of making them aware of their usefulness and being able to provide them with a public service by addressing their needs. .
The online course will be taught by professionals with extensive experience in the world of biobanks and is aimed at health professionals, graduates or graduates in Health Sciences, senior technicians in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory, senior technicians in Pathological Anatomy and cytodiagnosis, documentation technicians and laboratory technicians in general.

World Multiple Sclerosis Day

On May 30, World Multiple Sclerosis Day is celebrated and the Granada Association of Multiple Sclerosis (AGDEM) has prepared a commemorative event for this anniversary.
This event will consist of an extensive program of activities such as the creation of a human cordon in favor of research and the reading of a manifesto in the Plaza de la Constitución in Armilla. Later, the activities will continue with an institutional event at the Casa García de Viedma (Armilla) that will consist of different presentations.
Among the invited speakers is the Scientific Director of the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia who will give a talk on the Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research.
The celebration of this day will end with the Conference “Our brain could have the answer” organized by the López Neyra Institute of Parasitology and Biomedicine of Granada. More information.
Arts and Sciences Week of the Alhambra Institute

The Biobank of the public Health System of Andalusia will participate in the Week of Arts and Sciences organized by the Alhambra Secondary Education Institute in Granada. The main objective pursued by this event is that young people find in the school space the possibility of learning, but in other formats, that the students themselves are the bearers of knowledge and that it circulates in different expressive ways.
The SSPA Biobank will contribute to this event with an informative talk titled “SSPA Biobank and Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research.” During the session, the SSPA Biobank and the Andalusian Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research and their key role in current biomedical research will be presented to high school and training cycle students.
