Biobanco and aupa explore synergies to bring research closer to societyThe Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia held a working meeting during the month of January with the board of directors of the Association of Mothers and Parents of Oncological Children of Granada "Aupa" with the aim of publicizing the work of the biobank and presenting the Registry of Sample Donors for Biomedical Research. The meeting made it possible to identify synergies and explore possible lines of collaboration aimed at encouraging the active participation of patients and families in research projects, highlighting the importance of social involvement to advance knowledge and treatment of childhood cancer. As a first joint action, both entities will participate in the Day for International Childhood Cancer Day, organized by Aupa and to be held on February 13 at 5:00 p.m. at the Pfizer-University of Granada-Andalus Board of Genomics and Oncology Research (GENYO). The Biobank will have an information booth on the importance of donating biological samples and associated data for research. The activity will be free until full capacity is reached. |
